🥷

Every Swipe Is a Blade

Drag your finger or mouse straight through a flying emoji and it splits in two with a glowing slash trail — it feels as satisfying as it sounds.

Chain Slices Into Combos

String cuts together fast enough and your multiplier climbs, turning a good run into a genuinely huge score.

One Wrong Slice Ends It

Bombs hide among the emojis — slice one by mistake and it's instant game over, so every swipe needs to be a real decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Emoji Ninja?
It's a free browser game in the Fruit Ninja style — instead of fruit, you slice flying emojis by swiping across the screen. Each run starts with 5 lives (❤️), and slicing several emojis within a 0.9-second window chains a combo that boosts your multiplier while spawn speed and bomb frequency both ramp up the longer you survive. There's also an optional Dark Mode that swaps in a face you've uploaded as roughly 55% of the flying targets.
Is it free to play?
Yes, completely free with no download, account, or sign-up required. Every run gives you the same 5 lives and unlimited replays at no cost, and even the optional Dark Mode face-upload feature and global leaderboard cost nothing to use.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — it's a full-screen canvas built for touch, so swiping to slice feels natural on phones and tablets. Bomb hits and missed emojis trigger short vibration bursts for haptic feedback on supported devices, and the same 5-life, combo-based scoring works identically with a mouse on desktop.
How does scoring work?
Every sliced emoji adds points, and slicing several in quick succession within a 0.9-second combo window keeps a chain alive. Every 3 slices in a chain raises your score multiplier by another +1x, so a 9-slice combo scores at roughly 3x a single slice. Cutting multiple emojis in one continuous swipe also earns an extra multi-slice bonus on top of the combo multiplier.
What happens if I slice a bomb?
Slicing the 💣 bomb ends the run instantly, no matter how many of your 5 lives remain. Bombs start appearing at roughly a 5% chance per spawn and climb toward about 16% over the first minute and a half or so of survival, so late-game runs demand sharper reflexes. Missing a normal emoji (letting it fall unsliced) costs one life instead of ending the run outright.
What is Dark Mode?
Dark Mode lets you upload one or more photos, crop faces from them locally, and have those faces appear as flying targets instead of regular emoji fruit — nothing is uploaded to a server. By default about 55% of non-bomb targets get replaced with a random saved face; flipping on "pure face mode" pushes that to 100% so every target is a face. You can delete any saved face anytime from the built-in face manager.
Is my score saved?
Your best score and max combo are saved locally in your browser, so your personal record persists between visits. You can also submit your final score with a nickname to the shared global leaderboard to see how your run compares against players worldwide.
