How to Use

1

Watch the ants appear

Ants crawl out of the old nest in the top-left corner in small random batches — the timer starts the moment you make your first move.

2

Long-press to drop sugar

Hold your finger or mouse button down anywhere on the grass to pile up sugar — nearby ants will wander toward it and follow the trail.

3

Swipe to shoo strays

Drag quickly across a cluster of ants to send them scattering in that direction, useful for nudging them back on track.

4

Clear or block the path

Grab a leaf, twig or rock and drag it out of the way, or drop it in front of ants to steer them around a shortcut.

5

Get everyone home

Guide all 50 ants into the new nest in the bottom-right corner — they'll be pulled in automatically once they get close enough.

6

Beat your best time

When the last ant arrives, your total time is shown instantly — restart to try again or submit a new personal best to the world leaderboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Busy Ants free to play?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up, no account and no ads. Just open the page and start guiding ants.
How do I control the ants?
You don't control ants directly — you influence them. Long-press to drop sugar that lures nearby ants toward it, swipe across a cluster to scatter them in that direction, and drag leaves, twigs or rocks lying on the ground to block a path or clear a shortcut.
What's the goal of the game?
Get all 50 ants from the old nest in the top-left corner into the new nest in the bottom-right corner as fast as possible. The timer starts on your first action and stops the instant the last ant arrives — your best time is saved automatically.
Do the ants move on their own?
Yes. Ants wander randomly and are naturally drawn to any sugar on the ground, so a few piles of sugar are scattered on the field at the start of each round to get things moving. You still need to guide stragglers and work around rocks and leaves to get everyone home quickly.
Can I restart if I mess up?
Yes, there's a restart button available at any time — ants reset, obstacles are shuffled into new positions, and the timer resets to zero for a fresh run.
How does the leaderboard work?
Every time you beat your own personal best time, you'll be offered the option to submit your name and time to the shared world leaderboard, which ranks everyone by fastest completion time.
