How to Use

1

Watch a piece fall

One of the 7 classic tetromino shapes drops from the top of a 10-wide board; the Next panel shows what's coming after it.

2

Move and rotate to fit

Slide the piece left or right and rotate it with wall kicks; the ghost outline shows exactly where it will land.

3

Drop and clear lines

Soft-drop for control or hard-drop for speed — filling an entire row clears it and everything above shifts down.

4

Hold a piece for later

Swap the current piece into Hold when it doesn't fit your board, and bring it back out when you need it.

5

Chain clears for bonus points

Back-to-back and combo clears add bonus scoring on top of the base line-clear value as speed ramps up with each level.

6

Battle or submit your score

Send a battle link for a live 1v1, or submit a new personal best to the global leaderboard when the board tops out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Block Done free to play?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up and no ads. Open the page and a piece starts falling immediately — no downloads, no installs.
What mechanics does Block Done include?
It's a faithful implementation of the professional falling-block ruleset: 7-bag randomizer so every 7 pieces include one of each shape, SRS (Super Rotation System) with wall kicks for accurate rotation near walls and other pieces, soft drop and hard drop, lock delay before a piece settles, combo and Back-to-Back bonus scoring, and a classic gravity curve that speeds up as your level increases.
What are Hold, Next and the ghost piece?
Hold lets you stash the current piece and swap it back in later — useful when a shape doesn't fit where you need it right now. Next shows the upcoming piece so you can plan ahead. The ghost piece is a faint outline on the board showing exactly where the falling piece will land if dropped immediately.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. On touch devices the game shows on-screen buttons for movement, rotation, hold and drop, and you can drag them to any position and resize them to match how you hold your phone. Desktop players get full keyboard controls instead.
How does the friend battle work?
Generate an invite link and send it to a friend — you both play separate boards of the same falling-block challenge in real time, watching each other's live score, with a win/lose result shown when either board tops out.
Is there a leaderboard?
Yes, a global leaderboard tracks the top scores from every player on the site. When you beat your own personal best, you can submit your name to see where your run ranks.
