Features

➡️

One Tap, One Straight Line

Every block carries an arrow. Tap it and it slides along that arrow, straight off the edge of the board and out of the puzzle.

🧱

Blockers Come First

If anything sits on the path, the block just bumps and stays put. The block in its way flashes red, so you always know what to clear next.

🎨

Colour Tells the Direction

Up, right, down and left each get their own bright colour, so you can read the whole board at a glance instead of studying every arrow.

🧩

Always Solvable, Never Stuck

Each board is built backwards from a complete clearing order, so a solution is guaranteed - and removing a block can never dead-end the puzzle.

⏱️

Eight Boards, One Clock

Boards grow from 3x3 to 7x7 and the timer never stops between them. Your score is the total run time, down to hundredths of a second.

🏆

World Speed Leaderboard

Clear all eight and submit your total time. The fastest runs rank first, and your personal best is also kept on your own device.

How to Use

1

Look at the arrows

Every block points somewhere. That arrow is the one and only way it can leave the board.

2

Tap a block with a clear path

It slides out and disappears. Nothing is ever lost - removing blocks only opens up more paths for the rest.

3

Watch for the red flash

Tap a blocked block and it bumps in place while the block in its way flashes red. Clear that one first, then come back.

4

Empty the whole board

When the last block is gone the stage is cleared and the next board drops in - the timer keeps running the whole time.

5

Finish all eight and submit

Stage eight ends the run. Send your total time to the world leaderboard, or start a fresh randomly generated set of boards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Arrow Escape free to play?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, needs no account and has no in-app purchases or paywalls. Open the page and press play.
Can I get stuck or lose the game?
No. Removing a block never blocks another one, so a board that could be cleared can always still be cleared. There is no failure state - only the clock.
Is every board actually solvable?
Always. Boards are generated in the reverse of a valid clearing order, so at least one complete solution exists by construction, not by luck.
What happens when I tap a blocked block?
It bumps in place, the blocker flashes red, and you lose nothing but a moment. After three blocked taps in a row the game quietly highlights a block that can move.
Can I play it on my phone?
Yes. The board scales to portrait and landscape, the blocks are large touch targets, and dragging with one finger swings the camera. Double-tap resets the view.
Does it work with a game controller?
Yes. The D-pad or left stick moves a cursor from block to block and the A button taps the selected one. Start pauses the run.
